The President of the European Agency for Roma Unity, Mr. Gaudi, is a distinguished leader with a longstanding commitment to advancing Roma rights, representation, and socio-economic empowerment across Europe. With a firm belief in dignity, inclusion, and structural change, Mr. Gaudi brings both visionary leadership and grounded experience to one of the most vital roles in the European Roma movement.

Academic Background

Mr. Gaudi holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting, which provides a strong analytical foundation for his strategic oversight and organizational leadership. His academic background equips him with the financial, managerial, and systemic thinking needed to lead high-impact programmes and policies addressing economic disparities and social exclusion.

Professional Leadership

Mr. Gaudi plays a key role in influencing policy at both national and European levels. He is instrumental in building alliances between Roma communities, public institutions, and international organizations to secure sustainable funding, legislative reforms, and inclusive public services.

As President, he oversees the strategic direction and international representation of the Agency, ensuring that its mission to promote equality, dignity, and Roma unity is achieved through coordinated advocacy, policy innovation, and community engagement.

Marius-Lucian TUDOR

Secretary General

About the Secretary General

Marius serves as the Secretary General, bringing over 15 years of professional experience in public policy, EU affairs, project and programme management, with a distinguished focus on Roma Equality and Inclusion.

With a career spanning key institutions at both national and European levels — including the European Parliament, the Romanian Government, and prominent international NGOs — Marius has successfully led and advised on strategic initiatives impacting thousands of individuals and communities across Europe. His most notable professional achievement is the development of the first-ever report of the European Parliament on Roma Equality Inclusion and Participation, adopted on September 17, 2020, with a consistent majority of 545 votes.

Marius has worked extensively with EU institutions, ministries, municipalities, and over 100 civil society organizations across Europe.

Academic Background

Marius holds a master’s degree in criminal law and bachelor’s degrees in law and economics. He is a certified Project Manager, Evaluator, Trainer and Trainer of Trainers and graduated the executive education programme on Leadership and Community Organizing at Harvard Kennedy School.
